“WPIC’s e-commerce campus has been in development for more than a year and I’m pleased to be opening the facility to our clients, their products, and our dedicated staff,” announced Jacob Cooke, Co-founder and CEO of WPIC Marketing + Technologies.
“Our e-commerce team has been working out of two facilities in Nanjing for several years, and I’m excited to bring all of our operations in the region under one roof, which will act as a centre for e-commerce excellence across Greater China.”
WPIC’s 65,000 sq. ft. Nanjing campus will be home to a variety of the firm’s day-to-day operations, including:
- Six livestream studios, capable of broadcasting over 100 hours of video content per day
- WPIC’s newest and largest e-commerce warehouse facility, fully integrated with both Alibaba’s Cainiao and JD’s logistics networks (existing warehouses are converted into distribution centres to increase WPIC’s overall capacity to support brands in market)
- A new merchant of record hub, enhancing administrative, legal and financial operations for all of WPIC’s Greater China clients
- Increased space and capacity for WPIC’s growing customer service teams for each brand in WPIC’s client portfolio
- Digital marketing and content teams
“After several years of planning and execution, I’m thrilled to see our Nanjing campus finally open to our staff, our clients and their products,” says Jessie Jin, WPIC Chief Operating Officer and the head of the new Nanjing campus. “Thanks to this new facility, WPIC’s APAC e-commerce solutions will continue to lead the industry and drive strong growth for our clients and their brands.”
While the new Nanjing campus is expected to attract hundreds of new employees to address growing client needs, WPIC’s global headquarters will remain in Beijing. The firm’s senior leadership will continue to split time between Beijing, the new campus in Nanjing, and the company’s North American headquarters in Vancouver, British Columbia.
